LET’S CONNECT YOUR HOME

From your sofa to anywhere.

Create an account, install the client, and connect your Home Assistant. No router port forwarding is required.

Your setup checklist

  1. Create and verify your account

Register, open the verification email, then sign in.

    Create account
  2. Add your Home Assistant

Open Devices, choose a name such as “Home”, and select Add device. Save the token shown immediately afterwards: it is displayed only once. You can add a device before paying; it cannot connect until activated.

  3. Activate this device’s subscription

Complete your invoice details in Account, then open Billing and activate the subscription for this device. The monthly rate is €0.49 per device, including applicable VAT. Two devices at this rate cost €0.98 per month. Each device has a separate payment and renewal date.

  4. Install the client

Choose HACS or the manual download below, then fully restart Home Assistant.

  5. Connect and open your home

Add the HopHop Casa integration using your device token and local Home Assistant address. The connection to HopHop Casa is configured automatically. When your device shows Online, open its private link and sign in with your normal Home Assistant account.

Install HopHop Casa

With HACS

Already have HACS? Add our public repository, then HACS can manage client downloads and updates.

  1. Open HACS in Home Assistant. In its menu, select Custom repositories.
  2. Paste the repository URL below, choose Integration, and add it.
  3. Find HopHop Casa in HACS and download it.
  4. Fully restart Home Assistant, then continue with Connect below.

Manual installation — works without HACS
  1. Download the client ZIP to your computer.
  2. Extract it. Copy the hophop_casa folder inside custom_components into your Home Assistant configuration folder’s custom_components directory. Create that directory if necessary. Use a file editor, network share, or SSH appropriate to your installation.
  3. Check the resulting path: /config/custom_components/hophop_casa/manifest.json for Home Assistant OS. Container/Core installations use their own configuration directory. Avoid an extra nested ZIP folder.
  4. Perform a full Home Assistant restart. Reloading YAML or the integration is insufficient after installing files.

Connect your installation

  1. In Home Assistant, open Settings → Devices & services → Add integration.
  2. Search for HopHop Casa and enter these values.
FieldValue
Device tokenThe token shown when you added the device. Treat it like a password.
Local Home Assistant URLhttp://127.0.0.1:8123 for the usual installation. If you configured local HTTPS or a different port, use the address reachable from Home Assistant itself.

The integration connects to wss://hophop.casa/ws automatically; no server address needs to be entered. Save the integration, then refresh Devices here. Once it shows Online, select Open. Each separate Home Assistant installation needs its own device and token.

Need a hand?

The integration is missing

Check the folder path, fully restart Home Assistant, and refresh the browser. Check Settings → System → Logs for installation errors.

My device stays offline

Check that this device’s subscription is active and the device has not been removed. Confirm the device token and local Home Assistant address in the integration’s Configure option. Its diagnostics show connection state and sanitized errors. DNS failures and server 502 errors retry automatically, but the network and server must become available.

I lost the token

Open Devices → Manage device → Rotate token. Copy the replacement into the integration’s Configure option. The previous token stops working.

The device is online but Home Assistant does not open

Check the local Home Assistant URL, including its port and HTTP/HTTPS scheme. Use the private link shown in Devices. Keep your Home Assistant login enabled.
